"HELL YOU TALMBOUT"
>>> SAY THEIR NAMES!!! #BLACKLIVESMATTER
In 2016, choreographer/MC/artist Shakiah Danielson and NWTC responded to the deaths of unarmed black lives at the hands of police officers, using dance as passionate protest in a call to say their names, see their names, and feel their names. Hell You Talmbout screened at NFFTY 2017 and took home the Audience Award.
OUR MISSION is inclusive of providing quality dance and job opportunities to under-served communities and also to raise a generation of socially conscious artists who produce work that fosters change. Our philosophy is that dance enriches the lives of the students while also helping to develop self-discipline, instill self-confidence, and encourage achievement.
